OM System OM-D EM10 IV Camera (formally Olympus)
This is a great mid range camera for underwater use. It is a big step up in quality compared to something like a TG-7 compact whilst being considerably smaller and less expensive than most of the higher end mirrorless models currently available. The camera accepts Micro Four-Thirds lenses and all the camera packages we sell include the popular Olympus Zuiko ED 14-42mm EZ lens. The EM10 IV has all the advanced settings you’d expect to find in such a camera including the ability to control the custom white balance so you can get your colours looking pretty much as you see with your own eyes when underwater. It has a physical image stabiliser and shoots 4K video.
Backscatter Olympus OM-D E-M10 IV Underwater Octo Housing UH-EM10IV
This is a brilliantly made housing that makes controlling the camera as easy as possible whilst being relatively inexpensive for such a camera. It has a 67mm thread on the front port allowing external “wet” lenses to be fitted whilst on your dive so you can swap between wide angle and macro on the same dive. This is a capability usually missing from higher end camera systems when fitted into underwater housings. The housing comes with the correct zoom gear and port for the Olympus Zuiko ED 14-42mm EZ lens which is ideally suited for working with external “wet” lenses. The housing has an electronic vacuum system to monitor your housing for any pressure changes during a dive to prevent leaks.
The UCL-165M67 is high magnification close-up lens providing 165mm focal length (+6 diopter) where 165mm shooting distance from lens surface when camera’s focus position is set to infinity. Using minimum focusing distance will shorten minimum focus distance allowing you to get closer to a subject enabling high magnification close-up photography.
